Before I Forget ("we," "us," or "our") is an SMS-based journaling service that delivers thoughtful memory prompts directly to your mobile phone via text message. By subscribing, you receive regular prompts designed to help you capture and preserve meaningful memories, stories, and reflections — sent on the schedule you choose.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use this service. By using Before I Forget, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you are the authorized user of the mobile number provided.
Monthly plan: $9.99 / month
Annual plan: $79.99 / year (save ~33%)
All prices are in US dollars and are billed in advance. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Message frequency depends on the prompt schedule you select: daily, every other day, or 3x per week. Message and data rates may apply.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
— Replying STOP to any SMS message from us, or
— Emailing hello@beforeiforgetapp.com and requesting cancellation.
Cancellation stops future billing. You will retain access to the service through the end of your current paid period.
All payments are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused prompts, or any other reason. If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period already paid.
Any journal entries or replies you send to our prompts remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display them within your account. We do not use your personal journal content for advertising or share it with third parties.
You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm us or other users. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery of SMS messages, as delivery depends on factors outside our control including your mobile carrier and network conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Before I Forget's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or email. Continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
