Before I Forget ("we," "us," or "our") provides an SMS-based journaling service that sends you thoughtful memory prompts via text message. Our contact email is hello@beforeiforgetapp.com.
We collect the following information when you sign up for our service:
Mobile phone number — required to send you SMS prompts.
Name and email address — used to manage your account and send receipts.
Journal responses — any replies you send to our prompts, stored securely on your behalf.
Billing information — processed securely through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
We use your information solely to operate and improve the Before I Forget service: sending you SMS prompts, storing your journal entries, processing your subscription, and responding to support requests.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your mobile phone number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for any purpose. We do not share your number with advertisers, data brokers, or any outside organizations.
We may share minimal data only with trusted service providers (e.g., our SMS delivery platform) strictly to deliver the service to you, under confidentiality agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any other purpose.
Message frequency varies based on your selected plan: daily, every other day, or 3x per week.
Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier if you have questions about your plan's SMS or data charges.
You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts. To re-enable messages, reply START.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@beforeiforgetapp.com. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information.
Our service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
